Add IT Equipment Types
Adding IT equipment types allows businesses to define and categorize their IT assets based on functionality, purpose, or specifications. This feature ensures clear organization and simplifies tracking of equipment across the platform. By creating distinct equipment types, users can improve inventory management, streamline reporting, and tailor operations to meet specific business needs.
Suprata’s flexible tagging options, including the ability to assign colors, make it easy to visually differentiate between equipment types, ensuring quick identification and efficient workflows.
Prerequisites: Account owners and those with administrator access.
Instructions
- From the main Dashboard, click the Administration tab.
- You will enter the Administration Dashboard.
- Click on IT Settings.
- Click Equipment Types from the expanded IT Settings tab to enter the Manage IT Equipment Types page.
- To add an IT equipment type, click the blue Add IT Equipment Type button, where you will be taken to the New IT Equipment Type page.
- Fill in the Type field, choose a Tag Color and click Save.
- You should then be taken back to the Manage IT Equipment Type page where the IT equipment type will now be visible.
