Adding and Managing Inventory Items

 

This allows you to input new inventory items into your system and oversee their details, such as item names, SKUs, and quantities. This functionality ensures that your stock records remain accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, you can make inventory adjustments as needed to reflect changes in stock levels due to incoming shipments, usage, or corrections, maintaining precise inventory management and supporting seamless business operations.

 

 

Prerequisites: Authorised Users.

 

 

Instructions

 

 

  1. From the main Dashboard, click the Inventory tab.





  2. Then click Receiving and Adjustments.





  3. You will be directed to the Manage Inventory Adjustments page.





  4. To add a new received item or to make a stock adjustment, click the Add Inventory Adjustment button.





  5. You will be directed to the New Inventory Adjustment page.





  6. Pick a warehouse from the dropdown menu in the Warehouse field.



  7. Pick a reason from the dropdown menu in the Receiving/Adjustment Reason field.



  8. Add notes.



  9. Click Add in Line Items field to open up the New Adjustment Line Item page.





  10. Choose an existing Item SKU or Name using the search function.





  11. Alternatively, click Create New to add a new product.

  12. After choosing an existing product or performing the process to create a new product, choose a quantity then click Save.
    (Note: When deducting stock from a warehouse, use the negative symbol (-).)



  13. The item should now appear in the Line Items field.
    (Note: You may add more than one item per adjustment)





  14. Once all fields are complete and checked for accuracy, click Save.



  15. You should see confirmation, “Saving Item Please Wait…”.





  16. You will then be directed back to the Manage Inventory Adjustments page where you will now see your added adjustment.
